Faulhaber's Fabulous Formula (and Bernoulli Numbers) - Numberphile
I wonder what would happen in mod 6, where there are also two categories of primes, disqualifying 2 and 3; _p ≡ 1_ and _p ≡ 5_
There is no concept of infinite in the physical world. Because for every positive there is a negative. Just the combination are exactly infinite. Imaginary numbers is where infinite lies. Dimensions can be infinite.
I love dividing by 7 and running into .142857 all the time
Who is here after neon man 😂😂
Can u tell me how this video has 301 views but 4M likes and 321 comments
If you don't actually know there used to be a glitch where it'd say a video had 301 views when it had a lot more. This video was explaining that.. And someone that worked at youtube thought it'd be funny to make it so this video always says 301 views to match the title. (Which I think is pretty funny yeah)
Hi Dude.. you seem to have forgotten the convection term.. u*nabla(u). could you add it (5:57)? just like the tatoo is.
301 views in 11 years? Bro fell off
❤😂
That edit at 1:51 is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Z5⊕Z5
10/7 : 14/10 ≈ 1
What that's possible omg❤
thats so cool
OMG 😂😂 WHAT IS THIS ? HACKER HAI BHAI HACKER 😂😂
Indiana is the home of bullet headed Saxon mother's block of wood, Mike Pence. Haven't changed.
Why would you eat a jam sandwhich instead of toast? Is it becasue the sandwhich makes a more optimal use of jam? I guess toast is relatively decadent by comparison.
Who's here I 2024 🤔
I'm a bit confused why you need to multiply by 6 when you 'rotate' the board? When you rotate, aren't you just moving the tiles, in which case this was already accounted for in the 19! ?
Con you send the geogebra file?
What I love about Numberphile is that every other video explains some problem in very simple and approachable terms before quickly running into the limits of what we know. It is actually really inspiring and showcases what math is really about. It's not about formulas or calculations, but about gently pushing through these boundaries and exploring the unknown ❤
Before he got to the part of the calculation with the numbered discs, couldn’t you argue that you also have to divide by another 6. For example if you have 6 people sitting at a round table in a restaurant, if everyone moved one seat to the right, you wouldn’t want to count that as a distinct permutation. So for the restaurant table the calculation would be 6! / 6 = 5! I believe it should also be a division by 6 for the board game as well.
This reminds me of the “3 is everywhere” video.
Who's watching this in 2024 👇
What?
This is analogous to using the same data point multiple times. In what situation would we even want to do this?
I was almost on the earth when that happened
Its gone after a day! 11y later
This is junk math. The1 is actually 100 the 5 is actually 50 and the 3 is a 3 so the sum is actually 1,125,027.
Awesome
The problem would become too crazy to solve analytically with realistic assumptions (rare Pokemon, limited catch chance) but then it would make a prime example to spark controversy by using Monte Carlo to solve it numerically
“It goes away after a day” 11 yrs later… “301 views”
Hiiiiiii
Hi
I like how the view number on this video is currently considered an Easter egg
My favourite moment is when at 0:14 James is about to say, "I've f*cked-up" as the 'eff' comes out before he says, "....plus instead of a minus somewhere."
The weirdest thing about cones to me is still the fact that lines, circles, ellipses, parabolas and hyperbolas all are made from slicing a plane into cones
302nd view!!! ...right?
ha
Who's watching in 2024 i.e. after long 11 years😂
legend said he still stuck at 301
Did you just tape the brown paper on the whiteboard so that you can write on it instead of writing directly on the whiteboard?? 😅
